With campuses in three small to mid-sized cities in eastern Ontario (Brockville, Cornwall and Kingston), St. Lawrence College serves a wide and diverse catchment area. Our College mission is to meet the learning needs of students and our communities. Providing faculty and staff with opportunities to develop professionally –- both formally and informally –- is key to the effective achievement of this mission.
The Development Centre at St. Lawrence College is the professional development centre for all employees of the College. Through workshops, presentations, discussion opportunities and access to East Region CCHRD professional development activities, we support employees in their work -- whether they are faculty, support staff or administration.
Louise Chatterton Luchuk is the Manager of Professional Development and Training. Prior to joining the Development Centre at St. Lawrence College, Louise operated a consulting practice working with provincial and national organizations with a strong focus on professional development and training -- from event management and logistics to learning-centred curriculum design to the facilitation and delivery of training sessions. Previously, Louise also taught Communications and various offerings through the St. Lawrence College Continuing Education department as well as working on writing projects for the College's Alumni and Development office.
